Channa De Silva, or DJ CDS as he is also known, has had a love for music that spans over many decades and across countless genres.
As an avid piano player at a young age, this classically trained pianist knows music inside and out. Handling guest requests and last minute changes are a breeze as he has been DJing since 2001. When you hire us, you can rest assured that everything will go off without a hitch. From custom playlists, MC duties, to lighting and ambience, we will make sure to keep you and your guests entertained and having fun!
How It Works:
When you reach out to me either via phone or email, I will respond within 24 hours to touch base and setup a phone call. While on the phone I can get a sense of what your needs will be based on your venue and time of year. Working numerous weddings over the past five years in this area, I have an extensive knowledge of what is involved, what gear I will need, and what time I will arrive at the specific venue.
Once a custom quote has been accepted, I require a 50% deposit to book me for your wedding. A Payable Invoice, Contract, and my Wedding Music Questionnaire will be sent to finalize the booking.
While waiting for your big day to arrive, you can fill out the Wedding Music Questionnaire whenever you think of the perfect songs. I generally receive questionnaires back from the bride and groom one month before the wedding day. At this time I will create as many custom playlists as your wedding may need. There are no limits to these playlists. Some couples only need two, as others need four or five.
On your wedding day, I typically arrive to the venue two to three hours early depending on the venue. I give myself added time as setup is not always the same, even at the same location. This added time will allow for any equipment exchanges or other unplanned situations that arise.
I will start music 20 minutes before your guests are scheduled to arrive, and your fun filled wedding will have begun with DJ Channa at the helm!
